CMR Profile

We seek to produce attractive, risk-adjusted returns for our investors through the acquisition of a variety of select real estate investments, including Opportunistic Investments and Value-Add Investments, across diversified asset classes and product types in the United States. Our team has invested in various real estate product types, including apartments, for-sale residential, industrial, hospitality, land development, and mixed use.

We maintain integrated expertise, experience and in-house department functionalities of origination, acquisitions, asset management, legal affairs, and accounting, to efficiently source opportunities, allocate capital, and manage investments to disposition. We engage best-in-class third-party service providers including legal, construction management, accounting and tax in the ordinary course of our operations.

In the aggregate, our team has been involved in hundreds of real estate investment endeavors in all major real estate product types, including apartments, condominiums, industrial, office, hospitality, land development, home building, and mixed use projects.

Management Team

Susan Xu

President

Susan oversees CMR’s overall company operations and implementation, and control services. She is a member of the Executive Committee and the Investment Committee.

Prior to founding CMR, Ms. Xu accumulated in excess of 20 years of corporate management and internal auditing experience while working within multi-national corporations.

Ms. Xu received her Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and her Master’s Degree in Engineering from Wichita State University, United States.

Steven Bozek

Senior Vice President

Steven oversees CMR’s asset management functions - the execution and the strategic direction critical to maximizing project and portfolio performance. Mr. Bozek has over 20 years of operational, development and asset management experience in multiple real estate product types ranging from high-rise mixed-use projects to extended stay hotels.

Prior to joining CMR, Mr. Bozek was a SVP of Development for the Simon Property Group and has also held senior positions with Oxford Properties, Archstone, Macerich and Gables Residential/Trammell Crow Residential. He has led all aspects of project development from land acquisition, entitlements, planning, team assembly, and construction to lease-up and stabilization. Projects have been located in major markets on both the East and West coasts of the US as well as in Canada.

Mr. Bozek was also a professional hockey player in the National Hockey League for 11 years winning numerous awards including Rookie of the Year for the Los Angeles Kings. He received a B.S. in Accounting summa cum laude from Northern Michigan University and an MBA in Management from Harvard University.
